If hunting mountain lions following a pack of hounds is not on your bucket list it should be. Mountain lion hunting is the most action-packed, truly wild hunting adventure in the world. It will test you physically and emotionally, it will give you the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, it will push your mind and body to the limits, and will share with you the purest form of fulfillment you can imagine.

We are blessed to live in the center of Mountain lion-hunting paradise. We hunt in southern and central Utah and northern Arizona. From 10,000-foot peaks to the flats of the Desert, we have no shortage of trophy mountain lions to chase

We take our mountain lion hunting seriously, we hunt in all conditions from dry ground to snow and everything in between. We use trucks, ATVs, and horses to get the job done

It starts for us with our hounds. We've spent a lifetime working and breeding our dogs to perform in all conditions keeping them in top shape. And putting common sense control and manners in our pack of dogs. They are not only a joy to hunt behind but also to be around. I've spent the last ten years hunting these hounds professionally full time and our team is made up of some of the biggest names in modern lion hunting history.

Harvesting a cougar is not for everyone, but that doesn't mean the adventure, the thrill, the excitement is not! For those who want to experience this hunt but are hesitant to harvest such an animal, we have great options for you. Come and take part in a truly special experience and leave with a professional quality trophy photo to hang on your wall and remember the hunt of your life!!

location

Most hunts are conducted from Richfield Utah, on Forest Service and BLM land.

Camp

If you choose to camp with us, lodging will be a clean home in town. Or a 5-star wall tent camp set in the mountains. (depending on weather and time of year)

The other option we give our hunters is to provide their own food and lodging in town. Hunters will be picked up each morning at their hotel.

Season

November through the end of May.

Contact us here for available dates.

Weapons

Mountain lions may be harvested with any legal weapon, archery, rifle, or handguns.

We recommend hunters stay away from large magnum rounds as they tend to do a lot of damage to the hides of the lions. .243, 30-30 do a really good job

(we have loaner rifles for those who wish not to travel with firearms).

Suggested list of gear:

boots: A pair of good waterproof hiking boots that are insulated. (pack boots are a great option)

good quality wool socks.

good quality thermals.

a good layering system, temperatures can fluctuate a lot throughout the day, and you need to be able to regulate your temperature when driving riding, or walking.

gloves: heavy wool gloves and also some good quality mittens.

good winter hat with ear flaps.

a ski-type mask that covers your face. ( I wear these when traveling in the buggy and it’s great).

a good oversized coat that is easy to take on and off.

and also well-insulated coveralls that zip on the side and can also be taken on and off with ease.

good fitting day pack.

some good optics, we regularly find some great bucks and bulls you’ll want a good look at.

camera.

sunscreen.

sunglasses. (the snow can be hard on your eyes)

plus any other personal items you’ve found to work for you and that you need
